The Atlantic Chapter of the Music Library Association (AtMLA) brings together members from Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. The Atlantic Chapter is open to anyone with an interest in music and libraries. We are librarians, support staff, performers, scholars, students, and music lovers who use and work in libraries. We hope you will consider joining our chapter. It’s a great way to network with others who do the kind of work you do and a great resource for sharing ideas.
The Music Library Association is the professional association for music libraries and librarianship in the United States. Founded in 1931, it has an international membership of librarians, musicians, scholars, educators, and members of the book and music trades. Complementing the Association’s national and international activities are eleven regional chapters that carry out its programs on the local level.
