October 2, 2020 – Updated Meeting Schedule

The Program Committee is excited to announce the following updated program for our Fall Meeting on Friday, October 9, 2020:

12:00 noon: Gather and greet; bring a picnic!

1:00 pm: Business Meeting

1:50 pm: Break

2:00 pm: “Preferred Formats for Digital Music Scores,” presented by Stephanie Akau, Janet McKinney, and Rachel McNellis

2:50 pm: Break

3:00 pm: MLA Strategic Task Force focus groups

4:15 pm: BYOB chat time with (MLStEP and other) breakout rooms

September 30, 2020 – Pre-Registration is now open

You are cordially invited to the Fall 2020 meeting of the Atlantic Chapter of MLA!  The meeting will take place remotely via Zoom next Friday, October 9th from 1-5 PM EDT and is open to all, regardless of MLA or AtMLA membership.

We are planning for a meet-and-greet, our chapter business meeting, informal discussion in breakout rooms, and a BYOB social hour.  Anyone who would like to attend will need to pre-register to receive the Zoom details.  Any questions about the meeting can be sent to myself (kiberry@radford.edu) and/or the ATMLA Board (atmla.board@gmail.com).

September 12, 2020 – Annual Meeting of AtMLA

The annual meeting of the Atlantic Chapter of the Music Library Association will be held on October 9, Eastern time, on the Zoom platform. A link to that meeting will be sent to those who pre-register.  Tentatively planned is an opening meet-and-greet, our annual business meeting, a series of discussion groups (in breakout rooms), and a social hour (BYO cocktails).  An e-mail announcing how to pre-register for the conference will be sent out in the next few weeks,
so that we can send information on logging into the meeting.  Questions about the meeting can be sent to atmla.board@gmail.com.

 August 4, 2020 – Application for fall 2020 video-conference technology now live!

The Atlantic Chapter of the Music Library Association received a chapter grant from the MLA Board to fund assistive technology to enhance members’ ability to attend virtual meetings. Please use this form to indicate your needs. The Executive Board will make the first round of awards on August 12. Delivery will depend on availability in the marketplace.  If you’re interested in applying, please do so using our Google Form.
